I love to find beauty in every moment that I experience.
Often times I find myself wanting to freeze time, and this is the moment when I take a photograph.
Typically, I am completely restless: I must be doing something to keep myself busy. When I have a camera in my hands, the world slows down and I take the time to appreciate the details of all the beauty that surrounds us in everyday life.
When I take a photograph, I am not only capturing a moment for the subjects of the picture. I aim to capture a piece of life that everyone can identify with. Photographs tell a story. I love to write that story.
I haven't been able to decide on which subject I want to focus my photography on yet, because I enjoy it all very much.
I love to make a baby smile.
I love to watch a couple stare at one another in complete adoration.
I love seeing a mother-to-be patiently waiting for her life to change.
I love capturing an individual's personality and beauty all on their own.
I love the complete raw beauty of nature.
For now, I will continue to capture images of everything I can get the opportunity to shoot. There is a uniqueness to each situation and subject in photography, and I don't want to miss a thing.
Our lives define our creations, and they inspire our view of the world. My photography is an outlet for me to capture my unique view of the world, for you, for me, and for anyone who wishes to see another perspective.
When I am not behind the lens, I am a full-time mom to my beautiful baby boy, a Landscape Architect during nap time, and a full-time adventurer on weekends. I spend as much time on the rivers and in the mountains as I possibly can. When I am outside pursuing my adventures, everything around me inspires my photography. When I am home with my family, I am inspired in my photography.
In my spare time I: whitewater kayak, ski, backpack, play polo (horse, not water), sail, hike, rock climb, surf, and try to exhaust my three year old border collie (which is the biggest challenge of all). My husband keeps me grounded, and my two cats keep me in touch with my crazy cat lady side. My son is my biggest inspiration, teaching me patience and making me slow down an enjoy EVERY fleeting second. I love traveling and exploring, so I do it whenever I can find the opportunity.
